Sorry folks it's the 17th or the 24th. Which is the preference?

24th would probably be best for me, also gives an extra week to get a good list built up on the thread (have you made one yet? biggrin )

Haven't made a list yet Nikos. Still trying to pin down a date. Quite a narrow window as I'm away for a couple of weeks from the 30th.

Sorry folks I'm not able to organize this now due to other commitments. Maybe later in the summer.

As of Friday my laptop won't have any internet access to send out details so I pulled that thread before it started gathering too much interest - I have all the route details and maps ready to go out though if anyone else wants to have a go at making sure interested parties get a route!

Quite a good wee run and would be a shame to see it binned but if nobody else fancies co-ordinating I'm quite happy to add a bit to it and then roll another thread out again for mid/late July! thumbup

Nikos - probably wise to set a date for your July Hoon as summer diaries get full quickly.....and it gives you the opportunity to have a list to keep the format police off the streets.

Do you avoid the HH or put a run up as an alternative??

Looking at the events thread it looks like there might be a run organised for the start of July? Am home all of July so I might be able to attend biggrin

Just an idea but if you were doing a coast to coast run between Ardnamurchan and Peterhead would
it be better to do A to P or P to A.

I'd say that would depend on where you were starting from!

I cashed the tax disc and laid the car up for winter this morning.

Probably won't retax till April so please don't arrange anything before then!

Good point smile OK then, is the route better East-West or West-East, I'm thinking drive up from
Glasgow area, B+B near start point, do the run then home.

According to Google the run would be 234 miles and 5 hrs 40. Were you thinking of a 'Top Gear' type challenge, ie. sunset to sunrise around about the shortest night (mid June)? If so here is some info. I've found.
Sunset at A - 22.24
Sunrise at P - 04.05
Which is ..... surprise surprise 5 hrs 41!!

I'd be up for a run to Ardnamurchan on a Friday afternoon, dinner and a B+B, Saturday to Peterhead and back to the B+B so coast to coast to coast, some well earned beers and home Sunday.
