I dont think we need another thread for the runs as the run threads generally keep themselves on the front page.
If you are invited to join in the bigger events you will be told of the whens and wheres when it has been decided upon.

Ended up a mate that had been the car in front was ten mins behind at Moffat.

In my defence i ran the run past Kenny and i made a few changed on my run over the weeks, but was always overviewed by Kenny. Just a shame Kenny took old directions with him on the day I would be up for doing another run in 2011, but betwen now and May 2011 my car will be on and off the road for work and off the road for 3/4 weeks in May. But again i could do something towards August/September time

I think Baz's idea is not far away, I'd suggest we get rough dates and organisers for the bigger runs of the year and leave the other months for more spontaneous events.
We all know when our old mate Ave's weekend extravaganza is roughly going to be (if your not sure look in fetish monthly under miss whiplash weekend meets the clannonball run).
For mines and kennys things (haven't spoken to him yet) I was thinking
1) - early may for run then BBQ or track afternoon then BBQ (this needs discussion and if is to be a track afternoon will need confirmations and deposits paid early)
and
2) mid October for awards dinner, keeping away from Xmas and cash commitments (again subject to early numbers and deposits etc) also for discussion I really liked the joint doo with SE, would e'body be happy to ask them again?
All of the above is purely for discussion and I do not want to be seem as a self appointed controller so help organising would be great if these are to go ahead (it was really good working with everybody who helped on last events and made the whole thing a lot of fun).
Look forward to comments / suggestions, cheers

What about ( Daft idea, just "brainstorming") a run from Dunnet Head to Cairngaan. Northern most point to Southern most point on mainland..
Or...
ArranRing - A circumnavigation of Arran.
Dougie
The more I think about it, the Arran idea actually sounds quite good. How can you get lost driving in a circle round an island?

I think what we should have is a thread, possibly this one, for the ideas for runs. Then we can committee by proces of shouting at each other which ones we're going for and when. If you could update your original post with the ones posted here Baz and then we can work the rest of the thread on suggestions as they come in. I'm thinking of having a full run up the West Coast to Skye later in the year, Aug/Sep.

That's fine, as long as it's not driving.

First post updated with the ideas above - we can try using this thread as a discussion board and I will attempt to keep the first post edited to track the agreements and proposals. Dougie - any speed cameras on Arran or is it like IOM?

You would be much better off creating a Wiki - then everyone can update it as they go. It makes stuff like this so so simpler; and is the perfect solution.

As far as I know there are no speed cameras (Or roundabouts!) on Arran. Approx. 58 miles for a lap, the Nordschleife is only 14 so it would be like Nurburgring's big brother!.
Arring - Clydeschleiffe!
Ferry is about 50quid per car but I think it best to avoid the summer hols as Plod put bike patrols on the island as it attracts a lot of bikers, or at least it used to.
