Another vote for R D Tyres, very reasonably priced and never a mark left on the wheels.

What about Kwik-Fit?? They are ultra careful, with their one toothed, junked up, soap dodging staff!! Lol. Have I had a bad experience??.....................hasn't everyone!! Lol.

I always use Performance Tyres in Anniesland. Faultless.

Just to close this thread off, I got 4 new tyres on the 911 and 2 spares on my summer merc wheels all done to a commendably high standard by Gerrard at RD tyres in Pinkston Rd. As some of you know 911s are very sensitive to balancing and the car seems good at "low" speeds.
Price was so competitive that I actually paid more than agreed cos I was happy with the work....so recommended by me and I'll definately go back.

Cheers for the recommends.cool

Based on the recommendations I'll probably use him as well next time I need tyres, he's closer to me than my normal performance tyres.

I've seen him come up on mytyres/black circles etc but was put off by the less than glamorous neighbours he has, I'll get over my preconceptions and use him next time.

Another vote for RD tyres.

A certain tyre place in Busby put a huge dent in my car and they started revving up my car and playing with the stereo last time I was there.

No - but they are a fitting station for mytyres who do good deals sometimes. I got the 315/30/18 rears from mytyres but delivered only.

I thought this thread warranted an update and recommendation - it can be a frustrating business getting tyres fitted to wheels that are in perfect condition and Gerry at R&D Tyres takes very good care of your wheels. Breath of fresh air getting tyres fitted here. Top marks, top gent. Thank you

Wish I read this thread before I went to Costoco. They damaged my newly refurbished wheels, declined responsibility and said they had the pic to prove it was already damaged. I told them I washed the wheels 10 minutes before I took the car to them (as I always do to make sure alloy is clean for the sticky weight balance).

I said I should have taken a video before I leave the car with them. He said in a quiet voice "Yes you should have".

Can I add in Motorsport Wheels in Cambuslang (OK not technically near Paisley).

the staff there are VERY good - I have never had an issue with their fitting on wheels ranging from 10" to 18".

very careful where to jack too - if unsure, they have ALWAYS asked where I want the car jacked.

VERY good prices for tyres too.

Im from Edinburgh (we all have our crux to bear...) and I get ALL my tyres for all my cars (currently 5) from them.

R.D. Tyres on Pinkston Road just on the east side of the city

http://www.rdtyres.co.uk/

2 mins from the M8.

I know I am a bit late on this thread but I felt it was worth adding my commendation for R.D Tyres. We have been using them for easily 15 years and have always been really well cared for, never, ever any problems, always great service and very competitive pricing. Porsche (996,986,987), Jaguar (XJRS), BMW 5 Touring, Z3, Volvo T5-R.... all have been cared for faultlessly. Really nice to deal with a family business that does a great job.
