Firstly - is this the right forum or should I be in the S Wales one (there isnt a Mid Wales one!)

Secondly, Mrs O and I are off there for a night in a few weeks time so could anyone recommend a pub and a curry house? Preferably closeish together as Mrs O is not too steady on her pins (and that's before a drink!)

Pub - good beer; not loud music

Curry house - not too posh; nice bogs for Mrs O

Not exactly what you are asking for but this might be of help.

It's not Builth but Howey, just south of Llandrindod Wells - it's only about 6 or 7 miles north of Builth.

Pub called the Laughing Dog http://www.thelaughingdog.co.uk/ and directly accross the road is a Thai restaurant called the Drovers http://www.drovers-thai.co.uk/index.html

Both highly recommended.
