Last time I was in North Wales for a weekend, I stayed in a pleasant B&B in Conwy and parked my rental 911 on the street. No problem. This time I will be in a new 918 Spyder and it's mine so I'm suddenly getting fussy about accommodation. I'm not looking for a lock-up (though that would be nice) but I don't want the car visible from the street or too close the front bar come closing time. Any hotel or B&B ideas will be very welcome. We are talking a Sat and Sun in early May.

There is lots of nice Hotels and B&Bs in North Wales away from the Promenades and prying eyes. I know Rhyl and surrounding area better, either the Oriel in St Asaph or the Kinmel Manor in Abergele is good, Faenol Fawr in Bodelwyddan or Bodelwyddan Castle.

We are happy to just explore. My mate hasn't seen the Evo triangle so we'll do that but really we are just hanging out and don't have a plan. Someone has suggested here so we will probably use this as a base.

Hi,
Bodysgallen is very classy and up a quiet lane but I find the car parking to be quite a squeeze.
Groes Inn nice place to stay.I've forgiven them my attack of food poisoning in 2011 and know they have improved the hygiene from the original 1 star rating(!) The parking is probably ok at the front of the Inn where there about 6 or so spaces. The rest of the parking is on a patch over the road
The Evo magazine boys used to stay at Groes Inn and I now believe they use the Royal Oak in Betws Y Coed.Their parking is not secure though in a small car park at the back of the hotel.
I can't honestly think of anywhere nice with secure parking but at least the royal Oak are used to putting up exotic motors for the night. smile

We have stopped many times at the Princes Arms in Trefriw. No actual car lock ups but all the rooms face the front of the hotel and parking spaces. The spaces are set back from the main road through the village too.

Of topic, the food in the Princes Arms and the Ship in Trefriw village is top notch!

Picture from our room last year...

In fairness you'd have a problem finding any reasonable accommodation in a North Wales that would put your 918 at risk. It's a rural back water where crime is non existent especially anywhere you'd take 918.

Enjoy the trip.

Check out Barratt's of Ty'n Rhyl http://www.barrattsattynrhyl.co.uk/
You won't find a nicer establishment around the North Wales coast.

Rent a holiday cottage, loads about and very reasonably priced, usually in the middle of no where, just check access on google earth so it's not 3 miles down a pot holed farm track.
