Just bought my first TVR, Flintshire based so I'd be interested in the idea of a North Wales TVR meet. I dont fancy driving up the M56 for the Cheshire meet, it will remind me of going to work!!
Where abouts in Flintshire are you? There's a few TVR's in the Mold area who go over to the Cheshire meet now and again.Just a few other suggestions for a meeting place -
Clwyd Gate, just up above Ruthin, good food, big car park and fantastic views!
http://www.clwydgate.co.uk/
Also just outside Mold Beaufort Park Hotel. Big carpark and within easy reach of the A55 for people travelling from the coast.
http://www.beaufortparkhotel.co.uk/
Then in St Asaph there's the Plough on the main road, again big carpark.
http://www.ploughsa.com/
Plenty of others to choose from but they were just a few thoughts and they're all within a stones throw of fantastic roads.

1&3 could be good choices. 2 tends to get very busy and really wouldn't want to leave car in the carpark.Clwyd Gate, just up above Ruthin, good food, big car park and fantastic views!

Evening all,
Thanks for your suggestions keep them coming!
I can recommend the Plough in St Asaph (it has got a great car park and does some pretty good beer too!). The Ruthin Castle venue sounds good also.
I will give it a little while longer for the word to spread and once I have contact details of everyone who is interested I will email and call you all with suggestions and see what people fancy.
I have had a great response from the mail shot I have sent out through the TVR club and I am hoping this will continue over the next few days/weeks.
If I haven't already got your contact details (Tel number, location etc.) please drop me an email: astonmos@aol.com
Thanks

Hey all,
Things are moving along really well and I have had a great response from you all.
I've been looking at venues and after visiting various places this weekend have had a very promising chat with a gentleman from the Ruthin Castle hotel as per Saf's suggestion. It seems a perfect venue.
I am just awaiting confirmation and have a few bits a pieces to sort for the first meeting in the meantime, please pass on my details on to anyone who you think may be interested...
I will keep you posted.
Thanks

Hi,
This April's meeting of the North Wales TVRCC will be a run out to celebrate national "Drive It Day".
We have been invited to join the North Wales Triumph TR Register on one of their runs out (subject to weather)- going around Snowdon and a lunch stop in Caernarfon (maybe a packed lunch).
We will be meeting at the King's Head pub at 11.30 am for a 12 noon departure.
The King's Head Inn is located in Llanrhaeadr, on the A525 about 3 miles south of Denbigh going towards Ruthin.
Please note that there will be no meeting at our usual venue (Ruthin Castle Hotel).
For more information please email the North Wales TVRCC Regional Organiser:

Hi Mart,
Would be good to see you there.
If anybody would like a drive out before hand, meet at Ruthin castle at 11am for a circular drive through Denbigh, over the moors and Corwen and back for 12.30ish... time for a brew and to hear Ruthin rumble with the sound of approaching TVRs!
If you would like to join, please let me know so I don't leave without you...

Tom, below is part of an email from the North Wales RO regarding the next meeting, etc.
May Monthly Meeting:
This month's meeting is on Sunday the 20th from 1 pm at the Ruthin Castle hotel.
Anybody wishing to go on a circular drive over the surrounding moors before hand please meet at the castle for 11 am heading back to the castle for 1 pm.
TVRs On Our Patch:
Next weekend (Sat 12th May) some fellow owners from the Warwickshire & West Mids and Cotwolds Three Counties will be invading our region for one of their legendary North Wales tours.
They will be having a midday break at the Llyn Brenig Visitors Centre and aim to be there around 12:00-12:15pm.
They are planning on leaving about 1:30 and heading for the Llanberis Pass and onto Anglesey where they will be stopping at Red Wharf Bay for a quick half, before heading to their hotel for the weekend.
They have 9 cars in total and would welcome any members of our region to join them in the drive over.
More details can be found on the Warwickshire & West Mids forum and their organizer Paul (Sound Chaser) can be contacted if needed for further info. There is also a post about this on the North Wales forum should you wish to add any comments.
