Hello, hello.

I have been along to the Manchester TVRCC a couple of times, allthough that was about two years ago!?

My car has been off the road now for some time, only covered 400miles in the last 18months!
I'm due to collect it from Track v Road this coming weekend (7th July) after an MOT and service.

I plan on using it a bit more this year, So when and where is your next meet?

The next one is on Sunday 15th July at the Ruthin Castle Hotel. Not heard if there is a run out before so it could be a 1am start rather than 11am though.

Nick.

Anybody fancy a change of meeting venue for this months meet?

I know its short notice, I have free entry tickets for TVR's to the Oulton Park Performance car show, 15th July. Looking to meet up from 10.30 until whenever you choose to leave. I think the show runs on until 4.00pm

Link to show details http://www.cheshireautopromotions.co.uk/ultimate.p...

If you fancy it drop me a reply and I'll sort you out with a car pass.

Hopefully see you on Sunday.

Regards

John

Wow some action in the North Wales forum!!
It is this Sunday Martin from 1pm meeting at Ruthin castle. I will sadly now not own another TVR for a while as a little one has just arrived and I've strayed back to the German metal boxedin

Congratulations Rhys. My daughter arrived early September and the Griff has been shut in the garage ever since. Hopefully I'll make it on Sunday which will give the car a bit of a run but it's not looking promising for long term TVR ownership.

Congrats to you too Nick!
It's a tricky one as I really wanted John's Tuscan off him but decided it'll just be me going out by myself in it so think it's the wrong thing buying it - even though I REALLY want it. Bought a C4 convertible insted as it's got the 2 back seats and a baby seats will fit. Thought about a Cerb but I want a toy that the roof comes down on for all the glorious summers we get.......

Martin, it'll be good to get another Cerb along, look forward to meeting you on Sunday.

Rhys, I know what you mean about only using the car on your own, it's the reason mine has remained tucked away. Good compromise with the C4 (unless I've misunderstood and you've cut the roof off a Citroen!). Hopefully you'll still be along to Ruthin when you can regardless.

Rhys....Ive gone to the trouble of fitting back seats in it for you aswell!!!

Congrats to you both on your new arrivals. I ve only covered about 100 mile this year, most of which has been covered driving to TrackVRoad for the service. just dont get the time at weekends with the two kids and Gill training to be a nurse.

Still unsure what to do with the Tuscan.....I'm lucky that I dont need the money right now but the car is taking up precious space and its abit of an expensive ornament. Im sure in a few years values will rise and i'm also aware of how good my Tuscan is compared to most.

Should I keep (maybe in storage), sell now or sell early spring???

Any advice guys very much welcomed.

John if only it WAS possible for some back seats!! On reflection the safety aspects of the Porkka are something else with a little one with you!!
When I passed the Tuscan Sunday evening I thought - your car looks awesome and I so wish I was in that instead of the Porsche!! I'm sure I'll bond with it once given the chance to have a bit of fun in it.

If I were you I'd be inclined to keep hold of it John. Just look at the way prices are going up on 'well kept' cars (Sags, T2's, Griffs etc) and yours is in that category no problem. At the end of the day you won't lose money so unless you need to then I wouldn't sell it! thumbup

Hi Gareth,

Our next meeting will be at the Ruthin Castle on Sunday 21st July from 1pm onwards.

We are usually found in the medieval courtyard & if the weather is good will be going for a short blast out.

Hope to see you there,

-Rich-

Anyone know ifthis club still up and running? Have looked at the TVR website, but has been offline for sometime and nothing on pistonheads for some time from what I can find. From what I can gather meets used to be the 3rd Sunday of the month and as I would like to be in a position to seriously consider something at the end of this year, looking at a few owners cars would be really useful.

Rich (astonmos) used to be N.Wales RO but he couldn't get anybody to take over. We had a few runs out after he finished but it died off. Shame really as we have some great roads.
