On your next attempt you can increase the BHP by loading the car with bricks. Fit an ejector seat, only make sure it works because if it fails you could be history.

I know my car dosnt count in the contest as its a 4.2l running a fully mapped system and 300 bhp and 330ftlb but im not convinced that many of the SX cars 3.5l or 4l would produce the power they sayed they would just like TVR power clames, would be good if some one put there SX on the rollers and show us all what they can make but the chances are that these car old cars and the good old RV8 is hiding a few little gremlins and on the rolles show they arent running right as what you feel on the road isnt the same as the rollers.

Interesting results though...

My 400SE running a re=profiled 218 CAM Setup on the old engine was a healthy 281bhp .. the new engine has never been on the dyno so I have no idea what she is pushing, suffice to say it feels a lot slower and less manic than the old one ever did

PHer (and former Wedger) Brummmie's 400SE...the one I bought from him, was producing 290+ bhp, with dyno sheets to prove. Just re-built and re-cammed from what I remember.

Sadly he took that motor out and put it in a Chim, then put the Chim engine in the Wedge before selling it to me.

He now has that rather rude 6.9 LS-powered Cerb shoving out over 600bhp. smile
