Go to a Ford dealer. May still have them. Failing that most of the specialists have them. Don't forget the second bolt mod to stop it coming adrift. See diagram in bible.

When I did my Bushes the ford dealer spent ages looking at old micro wats-its, and told be they translate to the same as the fiesta bushes, I bought them and local TVR garage fitted them no problem,

I think drilling the clip in bit and nut and bolting it. I havn't had a problem but know people who have. Drill a new hole through the clip in bit and a nut and bolt it.

I think the mod is to stop the bracket coming a drift, I don't think it will stop the bushes from wearing out.

Yeah but - Steve Heath - you nutter - didn't you break them even after the two-bolt mod and have to get stronger ones machined up?

About a squillion years ago (even before Pistonheads came along!) we had a similar debate, where Peter Humphries inter alia proposed replacing the whole rubber block and clamp with a split alloy block, bolted directly to the chassis. I 'acquired' some alloy, Marcus Brady did the drawings... and we still never got round to making any

Err no... I did manage to sheer a bolt once and fitted bigger bolts. And a locking plate. The droplinks were the next problem and there are now rose jointed with nice ally yokes etc. broke one of the rose joints though the other day so have just fitted stronger ones.

The two bolt version works well as I probably do abuse the wedge a little in my need for speed.

Mk2 Granada clamps and 1" bar bushes if memory serves, to be tightened with car standing on it's wheels. Less than £10 for the lot from Ford if they are still available.
Mark.
