After fitting an new alternator the other day......i ran motor for about 15 mins ...everthing fine ,stopped and started engine a couple of times .....all okay
...Went to take her for a blat today....but she no go
It looks like the immobilser is tits ,as all circuit that are controlled by it are dead......no matter what reset i carry out...i.e. key fob ,override key ,manual reset via pin code or via disconnecting battery .....
Q:
Am i looking at an Auto-electirician to by-pass the immobiliser/circuit before i can drive her again?

sounds like a good idea. It probably isolates the LT circuit and the starter solenoid so it won't turn over or fire if given a bump start.

Have you powered it down and up again. It might reset it

Hum! Bump-starting an A380 sounds interesting! But the problem is the "bump-stop" ... AKA CFIT! - Streaky

When I bought my car I had similiar trouble, eventually I ended up pulling out two separate alrams and three different imobilisers - all of 'em not working!.

Ended up with about thirteen feet of wire on the driveway and half a dozen black boxes. Put in one proper one, end of problem.

Glad to see you got yours working.

I pulled a Vecta immobiliser off the Esprit, it had been bypassed and there was no keyfob for it. As it happens I'm probably one of the few people in the UK with a circuit diagram for the Vecta so I plan to get it on the bench and figure out the 'code' for the keyfob, create a new one and reinstall it rather better than it was when I found it. To be fair, the installers had routed an 'easy-to-find' set of wires from the Vecta along the centre tunnel; these were dummies, with the real wiring going out through the floor and along underneath the car - a dodge we used to use too.
