Well as you all know by now, this car has it in for me and low and behold on saturday it gave me hell:mad. So off to the garage at 7.30am on Saturday and fitted the crank with no issues apart from trying to work out the figures on the torque wrench:confused, which i got my head around after reading the instruction about 50 times :hihi, so onto the piston install, no issues on fitting, but the crank was becoming very hard to turn and by the time i had install all the pistons and torqued the nuts, the crank would not move mad, so went back over the hole lot and found that the bloody con rods did not fit grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr, so thats another weekend f******d. Well after a few hours off feeling like my world had ended, i decided to use the original rod and pistons, but this meant filing the damaged tops down, filing the piston ring groves out, as the damaged had caused them to close and then remove and replace all of the piston rings and oil rings from one set of pistons to another, what bloody mission, but at last after hours of work i managed to not break anything:thumbsup:thumbsup. So after fitting the old stuff the build went really well:thumbsup:thumbsup, still got a few things to paint and finish, but at lease its coming together and at last all is fitting like a glove, thank god:thumbsup:thumbsup So here's a few photo's Thanks for looking guys and could this be the turning piont off my bad luck, i bl****y hope so:thumbsup:thumbsup

Evening Guys Well managed to get the bay premiered only, but the signs are pretty good, only a couple of areas to re-fill and before you ask i have not painted the window area as don't want to deal with too much over spray lol, i also managed to start on cleaning up the soaking wet interior, not supprised really as the car has not been in the garage for 3 weeks and what with all the rain it has soaked the underlay which i have removed, just need to pop down to caterham cars and pick up some new stuff, cheers Interior Thanks for looking

Hi Ralph..Looks like you are getting stuck in mate..Apparently viynl was an optional extra and at one point and quite a few people preferred it..It has since reverted back to everyone wanting leather..(Poor cow)..Viynl is nice but it has a tendency to crystalise when exposed to sunlight for long periods of time and there is not a great deal you can do to treat it,There is probably more products available now.. Leather can be cleaned..Fed and conditioned which protects it more, Unless your lazy...Might be an idea while the bonnet is off to take the pods out as well and grease up and test the pod motors and maybe replace some of the wire...Good luck with it mate..Speak to you soon...Ziga
