Good seeing you again ralph..The beast is moving along nicely..Hopefully once you have sorted the thermostat out its all gravy..Cheers..Ziga PS:Here is a listing for a QH part unless anyone can recommend a better solution, Is there a brass version available?.. http://www.google.co.uk/url?sa=t&rct=j&q=s...Here is also a link to a thermostatic temperature control which shouldnt be that hard to wire in, The sensor goes into the hose where the swan neck connects but you will also need the electric seal..(The red one) on the same page which goes over the swan neck and then the rad hose goes over that but the wire for the sensor goes into the slot on the outside and the sensor goes into the hose about two inches deep, If you get stuck i will try to explain it better.. http://www.holden.co.uk/displayproduct.asp?sg=&...

Ralph i dont see that the filter sits any higher than a plenum so you should be ok once the bonnet is back on.

Jimbo Oh I dunno,. I think I'd be tempted to shorten that length of studding that holds the airfilter on...

Hi ralph..Here is a pic for the thermostatic controller for the fan.. The wiring is: A live feed from the battery to the black wire (+) of the fan interupted with a 30amp fuse...Connected via a plug to the fan..The blue wire(-)going from the unit to the plug also..A white wire which must be an earth goes from the unit to the bolts on the fixing.. Hope this helps...Cheers..Ziga

Good news ralph..The carb probably needs setting up properly as the plug that you took out the other day looked well lean so the enrichment side of the carb might need adjusting..You will soon be enjoying her mate..
