Hi Phil

Hows things?

It's shame that so many TVR owners don't belong to the TVRCC for what ever reason they have.

We all love our TVR's which ever model we have, and now the Factory is no longer a round. The club just want's to help TVR owners enjoy there cars and to help people keep in contact.

This is a prime example.

Sprint has may I say in it a decent article on wedges this month and for people who aren't members who want to see it have to resulting to scrounging a copy etc!

I know it cost to be a member but it does have its benfits!

But people are people and we are all differant (Thank god) so you can't please everbody. But as a TVR owner I am disapointed in all the things which are said againtst the club and fellow wedge and TVR owners!

We all love our cars and lets hope we do for some years to come! ranting over

Andy

The reason i dropped out of the car club is i spend around 8 months of the year overseas so i dont make many of the events like i used to.

And on the mag front it's like when i get carol to save the news papers for me when i am away i never read them or find time to when i am home as i have so much to cram into so little time, as i can be called away on the next available flight.

Still really good to see the wedges and Andy getting the recognition they deserve.

Lets not turn this into a slagging match. It's about Ahdy's dedication to TVR'S finest.

Well done again

Rob

Just had a read..Fascinating story..The cars look great in the pics..Even better in the flesh!!..I like the shot of the garages with the doors open and the cars inside..It would be cool to have electric doors on all of the garages and at a press of a button they all open..Wedgetastic Andy...Ziga

Hi Adam

As you have a hooky e-mail copy could you send it to people who arn't in the TVRCC!

Thanks mate

I too really enjoyed the article. Andy clearly has a great passion for TVRs!

I should however point out that the TVR Car Club cannot condone anyone scanning or copying pages of Sprint magazine. I don’t want appear to be ‘Mr Mean’ here but there a few very good reasons for this:

1. The pages of Sprint like any other publication are copyrighted material. It is quite simply against the law to copy this material (even for non-profit purposes).

2. Some of the material that makes up the contents of Sprint is owned by the contributors (pictures, words etc.) and is used with permission. By granting that permission the contributors have an expectation that the club will protect their ownership and prevent copying of the pages.

3. As has been pointed out being a member of the club has benefits one of which (and it’s a major one) is that you get Sprint magazine and can enjoy its contents. Many members would be rightly upset if they thought anyone could enjoy the benefits of the club for free when they have had to pay for it.

The TVR Car Club tries very hard to ensure it offers as many benefits as possible to as many members. Some may decide that membership is still not for them. That’s fine but it is really not fair to expect members to pay for things (events, bits of Sprint etc.) that non-members can just get for free.

Sorry to sound a bit draconian but can we please not copy pages from Sprint.

Sorry for the rant

Thanks

Andy,

Great read, a true passion.

Sorry to hear about the accident, I knew something had happened but didn't know any details, OMG!!!!

Best wishes with your recovery, I broke ONE leg a few years ago, 10 months off work and many operations later, can't praise the orthopaedic surgeons & the NHS enough, even if the latter has it's faults. Initial walking/leg movement was 'a touch painful' but now in the distant memory.

All the best for your continued recovery.

Chris.

Instead of whining and winding people up why don't you report it to the police ?
