I don't think I had ever had the pleasure of meeting Simon but I would like to be a part of this donation at this sad time for a fellow Wedge owner, and so I have sent in a donation to Andy towards the 'Wee Man' Trophy. All the best.

Around 15 years ago i stood with a good friend and his wife in a london hospital watching as the staff turned the machine off that was keeping their 13 year old daughter alive..She had Leukaemia..The cancer had spread to her brain and she was in a coma..This still haunts me and is one of the worst things i have ever witnessed..from that day i always vowed to help children that are suffering and whilst working i used to donate as much as i could to the rainbow trust charity for terminally ill children..Due to an accident at work im now restricted to what i can do so my contribution has been less than i would like..However i have £120 to give to charity from the profit of this years wedge calendars, I did round it off to £150 but donated towards the trophy,It is up to you guys as you donated the money so i can either donate it to this worthy cause or hand it over at the fest to be added to any other monies raised and then divided between relevant charities thereafter...Thanks..Ziga

Hi

Well we are trying to do something special and we are still waiting a price!

Yes we could buy a basic trophy for a lot less than we have donated already.

But are we going to do just the cheapist thing (Which remindes me that's the excuse some Traders give for not coming to the Fest, they think we are tight!)
Or do we do the best we can to have a special item to have as a memory for the "wee man"

Also we need to keep a little in the BBWF fund to have the item engraved each year!
