Fantastic news. I've just obtained the import approval for my 350 from those wonderful, funny, clever and incredibly attractive people at the Australian Department of Transport.

Can anyone recommend a shipping company to entrust with my precious cargo?

Can I ask on what grounds you are seeking approval for the T350. Personal import?

I'm in Brisbane too Matt. We'll have to start the QLDTVRCC.

Who did you use for your shipping and can you recommend them?

Not shipped yet, so can't recommend anyone.

PHer Red Rose has shipped 2 cars to Brisbane via EDI Customs - the guy there seemed good when I had emails with him.

Public holiday in QLD today. Just checked mail. Thanks Adam. I've already completed the enquiry form and will call them tomorrow. Are the costs quoted for a Tasmin? Also, as a pre 89 car will I also need to replace copper pipes etc?

Yes you will, mine came in on a pre `89 rule also, genral import, easier and cheaper to get it done in the UK and you can get someone who knows TVRs to work in it, the side impact bars in the door frame/hinge assembly are fine for ADRs as long as they are sound the seat belts can be an issue when the buckle part is too long ie. the length of the plastic coated wire so when you are wearing the belt the buckle should be at your hip not half way to your belly button. again mine was OK.
I had an isolation switch fitted to the battery for shipping. The only other thing that I had to have done was 70mmx70mm square washers under the fibre glass body at the fixing points to all 4 bolts on both seats as there were stress cracks visible and that was it, i had the blueslip, also try to have some input re. who the CTP greenslip is with as the company doing the compliance will get it for you and mine was over $600 the next one that i got was half that...

Cheers
Adam

Your getting quite a collection of TVR'S over there. What is the Oz reaction to them?

I'd guess most Aussies would have no idea what they are, I'm originally from Burnley and always had a soft spot for the Wedges.
