The Wedge Sausage Meet
Discussion
Thanks for making the effort chaps...Certainly attracted a lot of attention...Although one dumbness got told off for sprawling over Number 7's bonnet...Cheeky bleeders...What makes people think that these cars are there for their entertainment??...What planet are these morons from?...Do they have brains?....
Also when we all left together it sounded awesome...Im not normally at the back but I'm glad i was...
Next week we might be going to head corn as the last air worthy Vulcan bomber will be flying for the last time...
There might also be some WW2 birds flying in...
Cheers

Well done Mark for facilitating. You are getting the hang of this event organising.
Thanks Henry...Im building up a CV for BBWF 2020 at Greenwich park..The royal parks are benefitting from our presence (Which could be maximised) ...They have an area for speed trials, Burnouts and doughnuts...Low fat of course....If we start at Mr Wolfe we have a nice speed run, The roundabout is flat anyway...
Start
Run
Obviously there will be no cars parked along the sides just bails of hay which will get utilised by the royal cavalry show later in the evening...Hoorah.

... Ron the 350 has never sounded so good and some epic pops and bangs on the A2
Thanks ChrisI'm very happy with the result of the "temporary"(which may become permanent)exhaust I cobbled together
Fairly quiet at idle, a bit of "rasp" at about 3000 rpm, and plenty of nice loud pops, bangs, and crackles. No exhaust drone either pretty good all round
So good to see the gredge after what initially looked like it being written off looks great and sounded awesome.

Great sounding Wedge Ron - I bet you're popular with your neighbours! I couldn't help noticing that you seem to be running quite a lot of negative camber at the rear. Great when hooning, but can wear the inner shoulders in normal road use.
Mark: Headcorn sounds interesting, but I couldn't see any timetable for the event, so we have no idea when the Vulcan might be over. Not sure I could spare several hours just hanging around, much as I'd like to see it again.

Looks a good event but like you say there is no time scheduled for the Vulcan...I will call them tomorrow to see if they have any idea...

The exhaust is fine at idle/low revs its only when you open the taps and the revs rise that you get a bit of volume and popping and banging
As for the the rear camber I think a previous owner fancied himself as a bit of a Lewis Hamilton - lots of rear camber, polybushed all round, lower ridehieght, and adjustable dampers set to rock hard
Will keep an eye on tyres though I'm not really doing enough miles to generate wear of any kind at present
