Hi All
As the weather looks really good for Saturday I wondered if people would be interested in a run out somewhere rather than the normal coffee and tyre kick session at Greenwich Park?
Meet at 10 for 10:30 then a short run ...... Or stick to the Park meet? ... Takers or ideas?

Was just pondering the same Chris.
As an aside you're welcome to pop round tomorrow (if you're free) for a coffee and tyre kick whilst Mr Zig and I do some stuff on the Reserve.
I maybe able to make a brief appearance (assuming the Reserve gets finished!) on Saturday morning but likely to head off at 11am as we're going over to Berks for a birthday.

I can't make a run out as I'll be running out westwards. Next weekend looks like I'll be in the office supervising some works again. Sunday the 15th could be free for a run.
So, if the Reserve gets done tomorrow I'll be going to the park for 10am. I'll post up here an update tomorrow evening/night so that people can decide.

I'm out; the engine in the 350i is in pieces for a new camshaft (again...) and the SEAC is not running very well either...
Martin.... whats happening to the cam then? Is it tired or is it suffering with incorrect pre-load or dial in settings or oil starvation as I had with the Gredge in the valley due to poor finishing on the casting?Whats wrong with the 420 motor then?

Hi Chris,
The cam in the 350i started knocking last week; no great surprise as I fitted a £70 cam at the same time as I fitted the megasquirt; I couldn't get the engine to fire on the megasquirt for ages due to bum information on the wiring, so I couldn't perform the camshaft running-in procedure. Plan is to fit a Piper 270 or 285.
The 420 engine also has cam issues and the Lucas EFi hasn't been right since I fitted the engine and had the AFM problems; it's stalling and running rough. Plan is to fit a decent cam to it and fit megasquirt - I don't want to risk damaging the engine by driving it around when I know the cam is slowly disintegrating. Which cam did it have originally? I'll probably fit like for like.

Despite some good efforts from Mr Z and I the Reserve is not ready. So you're welcome to come to mine instead of meeting in the park. Got coffee and biscuits.
Heads are off Samy and just need cleaning up so tomorrow morning should be just assembly. A final bit of wiring tweaking and some paint touch up then jobs a good un'
