It's spitting which, as we all know, is the worst type of rain.

Take out the targa and wear a coat.

I'll be there.

Wendy's MOT is due on the 29th this month and, currently, she'll fail.

Assuming the weather is dry enough, I'll delve into the front lighting electrics.

At the moment the;
a, lower fogs / driving lights don't work.
b, driver's side light doesn't work.
c, passenger's light pod doesn't retract and is loose.
d, driver's headlamp turns off on full beam.
e, headlamp alignment is way off.
f, stupid dim dip function needs removing.

If I can sort out and get my list of things to order - I may just build a new loom for the lighhting - then all that leaves is the rear brakes and handbrake that need sorting.

Also tuscandanni is going to pop round to check the balance of his throttle bodies and a quick check to see if there is anything obvious causing his bad running.

Just minor niggles then, my fog / driving lights don't work either they did till I started meddling around under there so I can only assume a loose wire or dodgy relay which I will get Dan Taylor to look at next Monday when she goes in for other bits

Has Tuscandanni had throttle bodies refurbished as my ones would never balance till I got mine done by Andy guy who bought my Tuscan

I don't think so. The rough running has come on quite quickly so the engine must have been happy with the TB balance previously. Just going to do some simple checks before he goes to a 'specialist'.

Hi mate.

I didn't need my front fogs at the MOT he said he was more interested in the high beam.....

Check the blue & white striped wires going into the relay board..There are a bank of three relays in a vertical row about 4 in from the left...Although its probably not on yours...smile But once you find the headlamp lift relays top and bottom the centre one is for the actually lights...Also check the brown feed going into the back of the relay board.
Pods out and clean connectors ~ Check wires...
Rough running?.....

tuscandanni's car is running rough.

I know not all the light issues are MOT relevant, no point spending ages sorting out the MOT items only then taking is all apart again to sort the other bits. I have a split relay board that bears no resemblence to the 'factory' spec so will be identifying relay first!

Hi

I have had some people ask me WTF the "Wedge Sausage meet" is all about...I thought there was a bit of an explanation at the beginning of the thread but i think it was a different post in association with it...

Well its simples I'm señor Chipolata and its all about sausages...The clue is in the title...smile

So...The "Sausage meet" was born from an idea between a group of TVR Wedge friends and fellow enthusiasts who wanted to meet at the weekend for a couple of hours for a bacon sarnie and a cuppa...General chit-chat and tyre kicking is the order of the day.

We chose Greenwich park as it is a royal park and is probably the best place to meet in the south east of London and they have a kiosk there that sells food and hot & Cold drinks...It is also aptly named the "Honest sausage"..Ive yet to meet a dis-honest sausage ...Perhaps thats the Tofu version???...

Anyhow we meet there almost every Saturday and occasionally Sunday weather depending throughout the year...If its the middle of January and there is sunshine then we are there..Only snow & Ice stops play.

The meet was to encourage people to get together and maybe have an overall influence on getting them to larger meets later...Although this is a Wedge meet we do have other friends who attend in all models of TVR...Which are always welcome.

This was also to try to encourage others to do the same around the country but as of yet there i don't think anyone has?..

So if you are in sunny south London and you are near Greenwich park then pop by for a cuppa and a chat..The squirrel burgers and chestnut sauce are very tasty...smile

We always meet at the top near general Wolfe's statue from around 10.30am.

We don't bite but the squirrels do...Especially if they are not cooked properly...hehe

Cheers

Ziga

Well it was nice to see everyone this morning..I have to say when i pulled up there was this lonely yellow very nice S3 auto 280i US spec sitting there...

I was looking about to see if anyone was about to claim it as theirs..Im sure i had seen this Wedge at a Wedgefest at some point...
Then people started turning up and no-one knew who the car belonged to...No-one showed up to say hello...

I think Wendy took fancy to it as she was keeping an eye on it...

Then as we were leaving my friend Lesley came over and said.."I know who owns it"...Dangling the key in front of me..I should of bloody known...laugh

You certainly had me going for over an hour...smile
Apparently this is the last S3 ever produced to leave the factory...It has spent time in foreign lands but is now back home in blighty...
...Nice...cool

Cheers
