Hi

I have just been looking at the pics of the beast and it made me think how many panels did TVR do for the wedge?

The Bible as usual just gives a brief inaccurate description of the differant types.

Just from my pics of the wedges I have owned I have these differant ones.

How many other types were there?

Early Tasmin/280i (Above)

350i S1 (Above)

350i S2 (above)

280i S3 (Above)

450 SEAC (Above) The differance between the 280i S3 and SEAC dash is just the heater controls!

400SE and later SEACs (Above)

The beast dash and switches!

Andy - is this another angle for collecting more Wedges (gotta get all the dash tyles, don't ya know...)

When you say the Bible gives only a brief description, well Steve H had all the parts catalogue (from me) but the drawings in that alone are twice as many pages than the Bible! So obviously it had to e severly edited and only a few percent of the drawings (especially variations) were used at the time.

My parts catalogue has 3 diagrams of different dashes up to 1984 and there must have been many more after that.

Plus LHS and RSH variants ;^)

Incidentally I saw my notes against Fuego lights and they were £29 new from the Renault dealers many years ago...

It must have been a good number of years ago, I paid £80 for a pair from my local Renault dealer in about 1999!

Andy,

The later SE centre panel (5 dials across the top) also came in left hand and right hand versions (heater switch location etc mirrored).

I guess it depended which side of the metal panel was "up" when they welded on the securing studs at the back!!
