Just picked this up, it's going to make working on the 350 a lot easier once I've set it up. I am now thinking body off to get a good look at the chassis anyone got any good advice for this?

Is it wind up or did you get a motor with it,hope you've got a high roof. I rather fancied one but thoht it would be cheaper for me to dig a pit in the garage to fall down instead which is till my intention, wonder what I'll bugger up doing it though!

What is it? Is it a four post (two post) lift? If it is, I've been thinking about buying one too. I have the headroom in my garage and the garage is big enough. I've looked at some second hand ones and they seem reasonably priced. The only problem is I wouldn't have a clue how to set one up. Maybe someone in the know could help me if I promise them free use when they need it. At the moment, just speculating.

It's a 2 post lift complete with the motor. Got it off a nice Polish chap who unfortunately for him went out of business.
It's only 7 months old and comes with all the paperwork, just need my engineer mate to come over and help me install it. Any one who is near Southampton is welcome to use it once it's up and running
No excuses now , the 350 is going to get done!

Hi I am having the garage at my new house altered so I can get one of these in it! http://www.strongmantools.co.uk/parking%20lifts.ht...It also means I can store two cars instead of one plus have space in front of the lift to have a body and chassis side by side for restoration! If anybody wanted to use the lift no-problems, just have to ask and I am certain I can fit it between Mr Sheen using it for cleaning his car! Andy

It will give me so many options!

"I am now thinking body off to get a good look at the chassis anyone got any good advice for this?" No advice, just a comment, but this worked well for me. I was worried about bending/cracking the fenders/engine bay, so I braced it with some 2x6. Once lifted, I wheeled the chassis underneath.
