Tell you what Si, just get a few mates together, pick a spot on the map and drive to it by some route determined by satnav and guesswork and you'd have just as much fun and save yourself the entry fee smile
We struggled to find many teams who'd entered within the rules (car under £150 or so) and even fewer who we could get along with at the social evenings.
Once on the road we hardly saw any of the other cars so there was little sense of being in an 'event' unlike say Gumball where you see the cars travelling together. The organisation wasn't that good, one of the 'management' was a total d1ckpiece who was blagging along for the ride. The organisers drove a year-old Mustang - effectively with their fuel and hotel bill paid by the entrants - and got nicked for having no 'GB' sticker. As they claimed to organise and take part in many such events every year you'd think they might have taken care of such a small detail but as they hadn't it cost them 30 Euro.
Partly as a result of that trip me and the guys have an annual run to the Alps on our bikes, it costs us whatever we like to spend but nobody gets to take the p155.

Yup. I've now got a collection of DRL in the garage. These were the first bought n fitted. I like the look. Low enough down on the car to be subtle yet people still see you coming even if it is a wedge. I also wanted mine to be a wee bit different.

I acquired my Wedge from someone who had called it the Big Bad Wedge. It was pimped up and did not look too bad when I first bought it. After a lot of money I have managed to bring back into something that at least looks originalish, both inside and out. Some bits still remain. I have added some things more in the interest of safety, e.g. a roll over bar. Now I am tackling the lighting. The back lights were already done - they are BMW set upside down - and I do not want to mess with glass fibre and as the Fuego lights are difficult to obtain. I shall be looking seriously at replacing the front pop-up lights with faired-in ones as someone else has done - http://pistonheads.co.uk/gassing/topic.asp?h=0&amp.... As the front driving/side lights were worn, I have already replaced them with fog lights and put running lights like yours just below the indicators. Pictures to follow.

You know that white one suits (in my opinion) the faired in RX7 carbon lights, or are they MX5!!

I like original too, but I also want mine to be a little different from the others, a personal touch, even down to the black union jacks,
Subtle!!!!

I had the car out today, many many many looks and swivelling heads..

You gotta love Sunny days, out blasting about the back roads..
