I am sure there is a booth there but how proper it is I can't say, but I will ask him when I go there to pick up my car on Wednesday. However, I was very pleased with the results of the last Wedge he partly sprayed for me a few years back and we'll see how this one turns out. I will report my findings on this forum when I know.

I went to see the progress on my Wedge today as I was in the area. It is coming on nicely. The guy does have a fully equipped spray booth and I've taken a few photos when I was there, of the spray shop and of my half finished Wedge. The sprayer told me he charges between 1000 to 1200 for a full respray on a Wedge using top quality paint etc. Obviously any body damage would be extra. anyone who wants their details can PM me. More effort in masking some of the items than removing them...I mean masking the stuck on front number plate...good grief. Removing the over spray will keep you busy Tong thats for sure.
Screen looks a good job good though

No way! That's all part of the service. Look at the bright side. Just picture this scenario with me driving down Wood Green High Street Wearing my pilot shades, in a gleaming metallic black Wedge, giving my usual pose. Music blaring out of the pioneer system in the brand new stainless steel dash on a scorching hot sunny day. It shouldn't be long now.

Ooh, I've gone very sentimental seeing this. You won't believe the aggro I had getting this car wrapped to the finish it had when I sadly parted with this lovely car, and it was still not completely right. Glad to see it has survived this far.
The wrap just doesn't adhere to more complex shapes or at the edges or joins as it would on a metal surface. The fibreglass absorbs the heat and the glue can't cope with the amount of heat necessary to keep the wrap in place. Also if there is any contamination or underlying damp in structure, the wrap just blows up in a bubble. The guy who undertook the work rues the day he set eyes on it. So any future would-be wrappers beware.

Hi Folks
I am the very happy owner of the wrapped 400se.
I bought the car two years ago and even then the wrap was starting to lift on the bonnet louver's and around the driving lights. It still looks great from a few feet away and continually gets the wow factor from a couple of admirers almost every time I use it. Wrapping can cover many imperfections like minor cracks but you wouldn't want it on your own if you cherish it.
Hope to have it re sprayed this Winter then it can be properly polished and look as good close up as it does from the kerb.

Will you keep the same colour?

I quite like this colour but it was originally dark metallic blue.
I am thinking of trying a dark blue to purple flip like Red Bulls F1 cars but haven't identified the final colour yet.

Long time updating but did strip the vinyl and after a lot of deliberating decides the original colour (Starmist Mica Blue) was the best for the car.
Very pleased with the result .
