Been really busy with work, holiday and last week I got engaged!! I'm going to use the car as part of the wedding next year so that's a target at least!!!!!

not had too much time in the garage...Still managed a little though wink

As below, everything except for the engine and gearbox are off the car! A friend is coming over after work tonight with his engine crane so fingers crossed should be ready to take the chassis this week!

I have lots of bits now....!!!

Those golf clubs need to go, can't have them cluttering up valuable garage space and obstructing access to the Wedge.

Hi Matt,
Just read through this thread, its great I love a resto read with piccys.....
I noticed Blaine spoke about his chassis being red, mine is also red, my '88 350i had a pure white chassis, I did a full resto like your doing to it and I had the chassis done in red so neither of my wedges were grey, so I guess Im interested if when purchasing a TVR new back in the day you could spec a colour otherwise you got grey?
Cheers

Just had a dig around for some pics of my old 350 this was back in 1995/96.

I had the chassis nylon coated and I used a company that I think still exists called Pop Browns they supply products for hot rods and customs......

She's a goodun...although gives me plenty of grief before I get to have fun (that goes for the wedge and the future mrs matt man!!) hehe

Golf clubs...yeah, they should go in the bin really...would suit my game!

I think red chassis looks awesome...loving the colours on yours!

I'm going to take the chassis to southways automotive http://www.southwaysautomotive.co.uk/SSC2/services... if you haven't seen their site they do good stuff!

Hey al! Cheers...I'm loving the project but need to keep momentum up!!

Sorry al, realised I didnt answer the big question!

The chassis is going to be bright red, all other parts except a few (like the shocks and the driveshafts) will be black.

Then its just new nuts and bolts everwhere and get it back together.

Car is going to be the same colour again when I get the body back on smile

A little update on what i have been up to...

Gearbox selector has LOADS of play and although one of the nylon bushes (which has obviously worn and is now 'Not avaliable') i might have managed to get one...fingers crossed.

Diff painted

Steering rack touched up from where it was chipped - it was reconned in 2010 so still OK smile

I decided to mark my territory on the car! When i took the diff carrier off the underside middle section was clean and therefore hidden from the elements so i wrote on it my name and date! Never know, one day the car might have another rebuild and gets found! smile
