Next step: get rid of that bloody useless POS of an injection system! Put a MS2 or MS3 on it and gain 20BHP without thinking about it.

Oh, and better traffic manners, better starting, better MPG. Actually, scratch the last one. No-one cares...

Little update....ive booked the wedge in for its respray! It is going in third week of Feb.

It is going to be the same colour again.

There is quite a lot of cracks which will be cut right back and re-resined to try to stop them coming back. The plan is to also try and get rid of the huge amount of ripples. Of course i will keep a diary of it smile

Fingers crossed!!

I'm having it done through a garage that I've used for years with all my cars. Its the same guy who painted my dads pagoda a few years back and he did a cracking job on that. He has painted and repaired a lot of fibreglass over the years so fingers crossed for a good result!

Need to get all the decals sorted out...

Hi Matt, all our cars suffer from those hairline cracks especially around the angled corners, its a job I want tackled one day and have asked about the process, evidently as well as veeing out the crack from the top they need to get some additional reinforcing fibreglass matting on the underside also, if it was mine I'd check that is in the quote.

Doing a couple of little jobs before I drop her at the body shop this weekend.

Elec mirrors have never worked and have always just clicked! Finally decided to take them off as they body shop will have to anyway! Took the front off..I love how rough things are on a tvr once you get behind the shiny layer!

Turns out both motors were seized. Took the whole thing to bits, loads of wd40 and the motors worked again, had a head scratch and 'jeez...that lot ain't going back together in one piece' moment...

Tried them out and both now work! Result! smile

Took her to the garage where she is being resprayed yesterday. I stripped most of the awkward stuff myself as I can't help but get involved and also I know how hard stuff like lenses are to replace so will be far more careful with them!

Badges, lights, pop ups, mirrors all off and rear roof unbolted.

Only noticed the spot lights are still in....oh well, they can do that..lol!

Now for the waiting game....

Hi all.not been posting on here for a long while as sadly progress has been really really slow. The guy painting my car (one man band situation) had a nasty accident with and angle grinder...long story short he is very lucky and just getting back to work.

Went to see it tonight and it's all flatted back and planned for primer at the weekend. Forgot to take pics but will next time.

Collected some powder coating though. The front lights looked a real state when I stripped them down...

Cleaned the lenses and had the outsides powder coated which look great! Sure you will only see the fronts but I know they are shiny underneath..! Lol!

actually I lied...I didn't take pics today but have a few from a couple of weeks back before his accident...

Lots of sanding

Here is the front repair which was worse than it looked.huge long cracks (I bumped a car a couple of years back in a traffic jam) and when he started stripping it just collapsed. Its now nice and shaped but here was how it looked early repair

And here is the underside which has been cut and reresined smile
