Spending the last few weeks crawling around under the wee beastie made me filthy.

Thought giving the underside a right good going over with some heavy duty degreaser and my jet wash

Here we are ready to go, not some old sheets to catch all the crud and save any chemicals bleaching my drive

Time to jack the old girl up

Then a liberal dose of degreaser. Now I've tried all sorts from gunk to expensive auto glym but what really really hits the spot is Mr Muscle Over Cleaner, seriously!!!! If it can clean my wives oven with baked on fat / grease it really makes easy work of a dirty chassis. So sprayed on and left for 30 mins whilst I had a coffee.

Then I put on my waterproofs and eye protection and went to town with the jet wash. Took about and hour in total crawling around the floor but she'll be much easier and cleaner to work on now :-)

Then started her up to dry off (click below link for video) Now time to tidy up

Next job is (one off many) is to stone chip the wheel arches and rust treat / paint the chassis now when I'm over at ramp & wrench in Coventry

Looking good Glen. thumbup

I've degreased, de-old powder coated and re-painted 3 Wedge chassis over the years. All laying on my back in a single garage with the car(s) on axle stands, or wheel ramps. I know what a greasy mucky job it can be!

Good plan, but be aware that oven cleaners are usually based on caustic soda, which eats aluminium and is (I think) not too clever with copper as well.

Good seeing you getting stuck in but as Ian said you need to watch such abrasive cleaners..Also on rubber!..I would of used spray on GUNK and a steam cleaner...Only cos i have one...Are you going to apply some waxoyl afterwards?

I used the "green / nice for the enviroment" version so panic not chaps

As for waxoyl I'll be rust proofing first then painting. Not a big fan of waxoyl
