Hi Peeps..Well its only fitting that we nominate someone this year as has been done for the last two years..I would like to nominate but can't..Being the organiser and all that.

It should be someone who stands out for their contribution to the Wedge forum..Helping others with their input of knowledge and skills...Above all must be a jolly nice chap.

There will be 1st...2nd and 3rd placings and the 1st place will join the other two recipients from the previous nominations...(Myself and Trickie.. smile )and will be engraved on a base that houses the original "Weeman Award" ..This is..(As those of you who are aware of this award know)..an honour as its in memory of a genuine kind soul who left this fraternity all too early..

Votes should be emailed to me directly and i will like two more volunteers please to collect votes so that no favouritism happens towards any one candidate, Not that it would anyway...The contenders will be announced once we have an unanimous vote of three people and the one who gathers the most votes will be the winner.

So get your Wedge head on and put your nominee forward....Cheers...Ziga

I'd like to nominate Adam Quantrill.

Always happy to help other Wedgers, and really knows how to use his SX.

Still nothing??...I will email you and then just reply to it...It's preferable that I'm emailed the nominees as it won't be a surprise when its announced on the night so please folks email me your vote...Thanks..Ziga

Replied again to your email Mark. Sorry mate, I didn't read your post reply before sending.
Now corrected.

This would be easier with 2 Baked Bean tins and 140 miles of string! hehe

Ha ha ha...It was a real treat in ours too..Although whenever my dad tried to cook it it was more like global warming....It was normally fruit salad with either evaporated milk or just some strawberry Angel delight...lick.

While this is the thread for the "Wedge personality award" it gives me great pleasure to announce that i have the award safely on the side at home ready to be engraved...It truly is a stunning piece of kit..It weighs an absolute ton but the stainless steel base that was kindly donated by Mr Tank weighs even more..
This award will be taken to the fest for the winner to have their photograph taken with it but it must return home with me..Although a permanent award will be given on the night.
So come on keep the nominees coming..Cheers..Ziga

Mark, would it not be better to post up the nominees and the numbers for all to see so as everyone can follow what's going on with the votes? I wouldn't worry about people being influenced by each others votes as people usually know who they want, but would be happier to see the voting in progress, I think. What are other people's views?

Hi Tony...I would do that but then the winner will know who they are and the surprise element will be lost...I did ask for someone else to help collect votes but no-one came forward...I have the emails from people who have voted if you want to see them but the potentials need not know who they are... smile

Mark, it makes no difference to me either way, but you don't want doubt in peoples minds. Maybe, you can post up how the voting was cast after the award has been given at the BBWF. That way, the surprise is not spoilt and no one can be in any doubt of the result. Unless you can think of some other way.
