Thanks for all the help and advice guys.

The final job was to drive the car with the handbrake on to bed the new handbrake pads in and that did the job.

So now I have a piece of paper allowing me to another year of fantastic and temperamental fun in my 350i! Hoorah!

Now I can get involved with the other jobs on the list.

Thanks to all

Hi Mate

Know the feeling. Put "NEO" through a few MOTs over the last few years-She's a cracker but yes a character. The only car I kick myself for selling to be honest......... Next car will be a Wedge i.e 420 SEAC, but I know I probably need to get in line.....................

Well done Adrian - future MOT's will hopefully be easier!

Hello Lloyd ! - Still can't beleive I drove/got back from yours in one go (roof off all the way - last February, at night).

Let me know when you're in the market for a SEAC and I'll see if any might be for sale ... ;-)

Ah, so now we have a little bit of history!

Very much enjoying the car. Look forward to getting the new exhaust on it soon and I also now have a new motor for the headlight pod. That's about all the needs doing. But I have a few things on the list of jobs I shal get around to when time and money allow.

Cheers

Hi Paul

Yes-I did think at the time you were a little crazy for traveling to the north east of Scotland in Feb to view/buy/drive a 350i back to Bristol with the roof down all the way-but than I thought no this guy is just a true TVR enthusiast +++. You knew/said I would be back to Wedges within a short space of time. But I am not doing it in stages i.e quite happy to miss out the 400s etc as I know what I want and it's got to be a TVR 420 SEAC. Yours is looking lovely by the way....

Lloyd, did you buy the car from Trickie Dickie? Or was there someone else in between?

Yeah I bought it from a TVR/SABB dealer in Cambridge in late 2008 "OFFORD TVR" I think.....

Ah yes, I think there is still a reference to Offord. Maybe on the number plate.

You kept it for a few years then! Certainly a nice car.

Steady on the post count Lloyd ! - 50 months on PH today - congrats!

Always loved the look of Wedges, 350i SE or SEAC and love the clean lines of the earliest too.

Out of interest why do you say you're after a 420 and not just a SEAC ie inc 450?

I did the same journey (bought a Chim from Aberdeen) a few months later in the summer LOL - shame I've still not seen Scotland in daylight....

Good luck with your Wedge plans...
