Interesting. Just have one brake line for the front brakes.
This single line is splitted from the master going to both front brakes....
Always thought that was the standard setup.
Are both lines connected directly to each individual front brake/caliper on your wedge?
The connection pointing down on the master on my wedge is blocked with just a bolt confused

Hi Rob,

Yes both front calipers are fed direct from the master cyl, I just replumbed it how it was but with a bit more care.
Having a T further down the line shouldn't make much difference, this style of master just has the T built in !

Having the T is not a standard setup - sounds like in the past someone has put on a Cortina MK3 cylinder which has two lines, and added the T. Then later the 3-line master was put back on.

I have been looking into masters (see other thread) and I wonder if we can use Sierra or P100 ones which have 3 lines and superficially look similar. Sorry for going off-topic even more!

Just a thought for you ..after i put my body back on, I really struggled to get brake pressure and turns out the seals in the brake master cylinder died as I didn't seal them off..didn't realise I needed to!

Anyhow...looks like you were more organised than I was with my team! How heavy are those bodies?!

I think my master cylinder has survived, but I did plug the outlets to keep the brake fluid in. Got the brakes bled tonight and considering all of the pipework is new cupronickel which from experience is a tt to bleed as air bubbles stick to the inside of the pipe
pipe. That eazy bleed was £20 well spent!

Yeah half the weight of the car must be in the body, my dad was somewhat apprehensive of the method but it worked well once the muscle had been distributed evenly (ish).

Postman (& credit card) taking a bashing now, this lot arrived over the course of the week

Radiator ready to go back in, I'm routing the oil lines around the offside of the rad rather than half way around the car.

PAS pump reservoir is now where the oil stat was so the stat is going somewhere here...

Hi Mark, not sure on that, all I've done is repair the cracks in the body beside the manifolds, the rest as far as I know is as TVR intended, space is F'tight for the rearmost pots!

Would love to know how effective the PAS is as an alternative to the belt driven SD1 type.

I always feel my (SD1 pump/Cortina rack) PAS is a bit heavy when parking but I wouldn't want it any lighter at speed!

Hi Cambelt,

The oil cooler fittings are available from Think Automotive and Merlin Motorsport, I used Merlin as they it came out a bit cheaper, although some of their pictures are not quite right so having the Think Auto catalogue open for cross reference is handy.

The Hose is 5/8" ID and the Cooler threads are 5/8 BSP

Hi Ian,

I'm fairly sure it's got a right angle bend on it, I'll confirm later as I have a couple of days of to work on the wedge.
