There's two? TVR Wedge owners club ( 4 likes) or TVR Wedges (47 likes)?

You need to create a "group" which would work better.

I don't do 'facebook'. I never have done and never will. I prefer to have privacy. This is just my opinion, others may see it differently.

Me too - totally agree - that's the problem with using Facebook and similar platforms for these kind of things - you tend to exclude the (growing) number of people who don't use them ...

Well I too would of agreed with you totally, this time last year.
Moral of the story is, Go with the times or get left behind.
Let me stick my head on the line here,
Whats the difference between using Ph or Fb??

I must confess...PH helped me socialise again as i suffered a long term illness which hindered this somewhat normal behaviour..Im on here every day..ALL day most of the time but it has helped me to also physically meet new friends and see some stunning cars...

However I'm not a massive FB fan and spend very little time on there...There was a FB page started on BBWF and i was signed over to it and started inputting the BBWF pics on there..(Something i need to do for this year's)..This does help people to actually see the event and hopefully add pics of their own..(once i suss it out!)..This also has the advantage of people being able to visit the page whenever they want rather than having it slowly disappear into the depths of PH...

They are both much of the same thing being social media groups but have different qualities for different people..As they say.."Different strokes for different folks"....I would say one thing..Whether it is true or not..The pictures i post on FB stay there where the pictures i post on here end up on goggle...Even my profile pics on flea have ended up on there?...Better remove my toilet cam...Its a load of shyte anyway...hehe

I will be the first to agree " I hated the thought of FB."
People posting up things to the nature of,

"just going to cut the grass"
"going to the toilet" etc etc

But a FB page of the nature that I hope TVR Wedge Owners UK will take, is far from the usual Bo***cks.
You have nothing to loose, look-like-keep-use.
if not, look-look no more.

I don't know much about FB, but if it can be accessed for viewing purposes only, without the need to create an account, then that's fine. However, I have no interest in FB, or other peoples personal lives.

privacy on FB is only as god as you set it ... If you dont share your pictures and put the minimal amount of information in, then you remain private. Oh and dont be caught up in the millions of scaremongering posts that go around

Surely though, this runs the risk of the ones that do and the ones that don't splitting into 2 separate groups and diminishing the quality of a forum, or am I getting it wrong!

I'm in, if it's set up as a Group. I don't even have a profile pic, and hate people posting about what they just had for lunch! However, you can simply go into a group page as much or as little as you like, and avoid all the other nonsense.

The S Series has a group page. It doesn't have many members, and isn't used that much, but it's no nuisance to me.

I'm also a member of a group local to me related to a "car I used to own", and it's great for posting up events, etc.

I say set it up and those who find it useful... Whatever happens it's not going to stop me coming on here.

Just my tuppenny worth.

Yes Alan

It is a lot easier to upload and post pics

PH biggest problem is my pics are all too high resolution off my cameras for PH to cope with and to allow to be uploaded
and I have to resize first - which usually I don't get round to doing so then don't post

FB is really easy to just post your pics and as many as you want

Otherwise quite similar

Cheers
Trickie

PS Have just been contacted by an old friend I haven't seen for 30 years through FB
I don't think that would happen on PH?

I still think it would run better as a "group"... Then anyone can post and have their pictures seen, no need for the admin to upload. I'm admin of a couple of pages like this: https://www.facebook.com/groups/freeadsdumbarton/

Anyone who has joined and approved can add pictures or posts and ask questions smile
