Few more goodies turned up today for the old girl
Sorted a alloy radiator and some twin kenlowes off ziga
(Thanks a lot mate spot on)
And an alloy thermostat housing , the plastic BMW one tend to break very easily so it's worth it's weight in gold
Also to come is an alloy expansion tank so that's the coolant side of things sorted bar some silicone hoses and bits and bobs
Will keep it updated as the workshop is ready for it to go into now

Been a while for an update but I have been busy with her !
It's in the work shop now at last!
Done a fair bit of prep to the body work found a lot of stress related issues witch I'm in the middle of sorting out / replacing for new panels etc.
The engine bay is completely bare ready for some paint some more prep and I hope to get it ready
The body is off just hovering over the chassis at the moment so after it's out the way I can crack on with the welding up and other new bits to fit
Bit bloody cold at the moment for most things but I'm still plodding on
I'm getting the Prop shaft sent off after Xmas to be made properly I think
Then it will be going back together!
My phone is playing up at the moment so pics are abit crap I will take a few better ones

Another toy brought today , seem to have a decent write up for the money
Don't know where it will be going yet tho maybe behind one of the vents
We will see!
I bought one of these a couple of years ago for a classic Mini Vtec conversion I was building. The speedo function worked very well and proved accurate when compared directly to a GPS. The rev counter function was rubbish, it didn't seam to be able to keep up and the reading was rather random.Don't know where it will be going yet tho maybe behind one of the vents
We will see!
I'm not amazingly fussed about the rev counter but that's a shame!
I'll report back when it's plumbed in and see if I have the same problems
To be fair tho I wasn't expecting it to be spot on for the money I payed
Bearing in mind most stack dashes are well over a grand
Cheers for the heads up

Speedo update just in case it's of interest. I have sent my TVR s speedo to speedy cables they will replace with modern unit that can work with chim speed sensor.
Bonus is it will look like the removed unit even working upside down as s units do.
Takes 12 weeks mind so not so speedy but seems best option comes with lcd trip and odometer too.
Thanks

I havnt really touched it over the winter to be honest far to cold to be doing body work ,
Have welded the o/s outrigger up , been thinking about the engine managment side of it recently,
I've done some reading around and because the abs module is disconnected the ECU thinks the abs has a fault and will in turn limit the revs to 5500rpm witch is a bit of a pain losing 1000+ rpm
So an after market standalone ECU maybe an option currently due to not being a lot in the way of flashing bmw ECU's
Plus I can ditch the air mass and the throttle bodies can be fitted aswell as a 3.0l crank witch will stroke it out to a 3.0l
Should be good for 240-250horses witch I think is plenty for that car
Getting back in the workshop now the weathers better so should see some more updates , it's been a while but I've been a busy lad I'm afraid! ,

Yep..any news?? Looking forward to seeing how it looks now! Blue is the best colour for a Wedge!
Good choice on the engine, especially given your area of expertise! I had an E39 523i for years..smoothest quietest engine ever (with the BMW exhaust of course).
Mine was a 1996 Nikasil engine that everyone said don't touch! But I never had a problem with it. Yours being an M52TU avoids that worry of course.
Updates please!
