Wings and Wheels

Hi Guys,

There is an event at Dunsfold called Wings and Wheels (brilliant event for planes and cars) and there is a chance to enter your car to do the runway flat out as a motoring demonstration!

I have just had an email from the event organiser saying that they still have places - anyone else fancy it? Would be good to have some more wedges hooning down the straight!

Took the maserati last year in the rain and the wedge the year before - its good fun! Free tickets for the whole event too if you get accepted....

No noise limits = Griff friendly - hope to see 160 before the breaking zone...

Why not do the runway? means you get free entrance tickets and a free runway experience!!

Sunday for me - Wedgeinald usually there and last year was a guy with a newly restored 400SE ( and of course Frank in his Griff 620....).

I rank this as one of the top car events in the calender.

It does look a fantastic event...TBH it was the 5 hour air show that sold it to me..Especially with the Vulcan....And the WW2 beauties....

They closed applications but I got an email on Thursday last week for a final call.

Its not a race...just a good chance for a blast!

There are all sorts there and its a really casual event.

They don't do car stuff when planes are flying and visa versa so you will see all it

Check this for an idea...I sneak a peek in at 1min 25... This was before my resto and with my sociable exhaust....

My friend has just bought a 1972 mach1 mustang which I haven't seen yet (I'm posting whilst on my honeymoon!) And he says its loud...I might have some competition!!

Hi Matt....I have a friend who should be coming in his Mustang, He did want to go up the runway but when i looked on their website i couldn't find any forms or applications to do so...Im not too fussed about it TBH and will enjoy the day regardless...Especially with a 5 hour air show....A little birdie told me that there might be two instead of one of a particular aircraft...Although I'm not allowed to say what one....
