I used 19mm T Section and trimmed it down. I haven't stuck mine on despite cutting it to shape as I want to paint the car first. Got mine from Seals Direct...

As your Wedge
is 'E' reg
you might find
that it's a bind
to insert trim
on a whim
as the aperture
is too small - for sure.

Mmmm....Im trying to find something similar if not the same as i have a chip in the screen, Its got a crack either side of it and auto-glass can't repair it as its near to the edge...Im going to leave it but getting prepared incase i have to have a replacement screen...I have seen some trim but i don't wish to pull mine out to compare!...I might order a sample from SD as they seem to have the majority of trim....Andy do you have the part number please...Cheers...Ziga

The tech prolly doesn't know life outside the kit his employer gets him to use. And just like the adverts on the radio/telly, don't believe all they tell you.

I find those repairs quite irritating because the refractive index of the resin is different to glass, so even when it's polished out you can see a ripple effect in the screen. This is at best disconcerting if on the driver's side, but if it's on the passenger side I could live with it.

There is a lot of bks talked about windscreens - I always use hot water to defrost mine (gets it demisted inside quicker too) and never had a problem in 20 years despite some numpties commenting every year "won't it crack the screen?"

£50 insurance job and get Paul (Glassman) to fit it for you.

When I ordered mine he had single or two tint and heating element option also from his man at Pilkingtons.

Heating element - that would be an upgrade worth having! Almost worth - ahem - dropping a brick on it.

Paul - if you're there, what sort of contact arrangement does this have - could it be retrofitted to the wedge?
