I appreciate that this may have been covered before, but searching has proven fruitless... does anyone know if anyone manufactures the original bonnet felt / insulation for the 400se? Mine is missing and would like to replace it with something close to the original if possible. Thanks P

Hi mate...You could ask chapperssx...He knew someone who was able to make one very close to the original, It even had the TVR logo in it...You will need your old one as a template or a paper template...Cheers...Ziga

I have mine removed and Chapperssx gave me the details of the company that he used ... http://www.trimdeluxe.co.uk/

I contacted them as I need a new one too but they never got back to me.

I even have the original one removed that can be used as a template.

So if there is a group buy, im defiantly in

If you don't mind, that would be great. The problem I have is that my felt is completely missing so don't have an old one to use as a template.

Hi I had a chat with Joe this morning regarding the bonnet insulation, he said yes he's up for making some but is fully book until November !! With regards to price a ball park figure of £100 each. If you would still like one I can give him my old insulation as a pattern and get it in his diary for some time in November.

Let me know if that's ok guys ?

No worries guys glad I can help ! I have asked Joe to make 5 at the moment but can add to the list at any time, if all five aren't want I will hold the others until such times they are needed...... If he can fit them in before November then great but will keep you informed as and when I hear something....

The foil is okay but the under bonnet must be as clean as you can get it...I used a fibreglass matting coated with silver foil on the 280i..I also needed heat resistant glue so i used AF178 adhesive.

Some products have an adhesive backing although I'm not sure how strong the glue is on them??..

These two are worth a browse...Cheers...Ziga
