Hi Peeps...Went to the ford garage to get some replacement sun visors..These were from a mk2 Capri...Bit of fiddling about but managed to fit them...Im going to try to refurb the old ones as i have an idea..If they come out okay then i might be able to help others out... smile

Also saw this while i was there..A very rare RS2600...Built in Germany at the ford factory...Its a Cologne 2.3 bore out to a 2.6..

Yesterday mine were "rain visors" - top down in a cloudburst and they help get some of the rain over the head!

You can actually spray vinyl with an aerosol to make it look a healthy black again. I've done it many times and it works well.

yes i have always wanted to get rid of the sun visors on my 280i, they are to big and get in the way of really enjoying open air driving and seeing the sky which ever position there in, but how do you remove them there not held in by the usual screw types how do you get them off in the first place.

Hi mate...They each should be secured by two screws accessible from the top of the windscreen cross pillar...If you do remove them make sure you fill the holes with some silicone and be aware as i found out yesterday the sun will beat down on your head, Especially in traffic...So keep a cap in the car...Preferably your BBWF 2014 one..cool
