Trailing arm bushes, anyone?
Discussion
In my experience, the reproduction rubber/metalastic bushes are not up the job on a V8 engined car.
I've just removed a pair from my 350i which were utterly wrecked within 7000 miles.
This was, admittedly, fairly hard driving, including a few trips to the drag strip, but I was very disappointed.
I've just changed them for some Superpro, polyurethane bushes.
I've been very impressed in the improvement - I plan on doing the whole car shortly.

As i found out on the 280i..The old new stock of mounts had sat around way too long and lost their elasticity..I had two pairs fail in a year so i went the Superflex route, They are more expensive but then when you weigh up the replacement of two pairs of yak poo and chewing gum against one good Superflex pair there is no competition.
If you do go the Superflex route then make sure you tell them to supply the smaller OD steel tubes which they should have now as i sent them an old set to copy...Do it once...Do it right...Cheers...Ziga
