lucas 198sa/33704a is on the removed temp sensor,but land rover part dept cant verify part no.
Also fleabay have some for sale but different part no.
Can anyone recommend temp sensor with part number.

ETC8496 on the flea but get the ones with the metal hex drive part of the body. The plastic hex drive ones look questionable.

I've had genuine ones from Landrover with the plastic body...

I was sent one with a plastic nut but i sent it back and they supplied a brass one, I know the plastic is strong but when it burrs its a frigging nightmare...Especially when you are doing it up....banghead

I changed one recently, ordered from David Gerald who sent the wrong part.

For a tenner less I got the right one from Merlin, basically you just need to match the gauge mfr & max temp to the part. thread size on mine was 5/8 UNF

are you referring to the gauge temp sender or the ECU temp sender?

I just realised from the picture that its the ECU one needed not the gauge... ignore me

you are right though, there are about three different gauge sender choices for the appropriate dials.....smiths, vdo + the other one I cant remember
