If you want it, cover the postage and its yours Steve

I had it made for the silver wedge but clearly that died....I has a slightly larger internal diameter to slide over the tapered shaft but had 2 grub screws on the underside to secure it so doesn't matter

Email me if you like :-)

details of the chap who made it are on the card

Cheers Glen, nicely fitted and goes better with the gear knob than the black rubber effort.

I was in the middle of painting and polishing my o/side rocker so thought i would give it some of the buffing treatment.

eek...I missed that one mate...Might have some nice shiny or HT painted to the colour of your car TVR rocker cover badges/Logos..Trad and modern...On offer soon...
You could also do the plenum while you are at it..It can be polished and detailed whilst still on the car...Just take the throttle housing and linkage off but make a note of how it all comes off with some pics for reference if you need it.
You will need to cover the engine with a dust sheet and cut a triangular hole bit like a surgeons playground to avoid getting shyte and paint anywhere else...Just polish the fins and prime and spray the plenum..Obviously cover any holes..And if it were me i would remove the plenum bolts but without disturbing the seal and pug them with a small twist of paper towel, I would do this last before priming and painting..Paint and finish..Fit new plenum bolts.....

Happy days

PS:Forgot to say..Don't use spray paint..HT paint on if you are doing in sitch...

I'll get the other side done first but those bolts are a definite starter.

Like this you mean... biggrin

De-seamed, de-flashed, blanked cold start port, high-temperature black paint. And the trumpet base has been shortened.

ETA Also, the ribbed area towards the front top of the plenum has been milled off, I did intend to fit a TVR or 4L badge there but never got around to it...

This is what I intend to do with my plenum & trumpet base. Need to get them exchanged for larger plenum, trumpet base first. I have some High temp crackle black paint I intend to use, and also have some High Temp "gold" to colour the throttle cable / return spring / butterfly assembly.

Cheers for that zig, must appreciate you thinking about me, i have a 3.9 complete top end that im looking to part ex with V8Developments for a 72mm Throtle body, 45mm trumpet base / trumpets and inlet manifold.

Plan is to swap out the existing 400SE top end and keep safe, and just replace the whole lot with upgraded items.

One thing you could do is saw off that unnecessary sticky-out bit of the throttle cable bracket, unused on the TVR... it looks unsightly and gets in the way of removing the left rocker cover. If you also do away with the throttle body heater it's actually possible to take the left rocker cover off without lifting the plenum first.

Didn't the 390SE's come with an NCK throttle / plenum with was bored out to 72mm already?.......my 420 has and I was sure the 390 did as well (if we are talking about a normal landy 3.9 then ignore me lol)

The inlet manifold as I found out at the weekend are all standard RV8's with the exception of the 500, are all standard rover 38mm items.....even the 450's..........just 500 that had them bigger

My trumpets are 45mm but are just normal ones cut down
