Coolant Option
Discussion
This stuff appears to be a trade off from what I have worked out, it has lower heat capacity than water, however it can be used at a higher temperature so an engine that tends to overheat may reach thermal equilibrium rather than boil over.
If your engine ends up running hotter then so will your oil so you may need to be careful about what oil you are using.

Yes, in another vehicle. It's pretty damn good stuff, but a pain to prepare hence I have only done the one vehicle so far. I will be replacing the water in the TVR after the engine is rebuilt over winter. Because it's waterless you don't end up with the same corrosion you do with water based coolant and it certainly seemed better at helping remove heat more efficiently.
It's not just the fluid you need you also need a flush that removes all the old water, when you work out the cost it's expensive but should be for the life of the engine. As for the other benefits, allowing the engine to run hotter etc.. It's not a fix for existing problems.
Is it worth the cost, no idea but just to keep the internal engine corrosion down makes me feel like it is....
