So had a good day today on a East Anglia PH run 120 miles of driving with lots of nice cars,
Then on the way home going slowly at 50 wondered what the scrapping sound was
I had been thinking the spoiler had a few marks on it, now it will have to be done, as it's a bit of a mess close up, the bolts on that side just snapped!

Wish I had!

Spoiler has many cracks and bits out of the bottom of it, a bit of a mess really! Good job I live in lotus country lots of people who can sort and spray the spoiler, the upside is the mrs said the driving light s look a bit naff so I have a yes to new driving lights.

Presumably that's the hex size across flats? i.e. probably an M8 bolt... or maybe 7/16" depending on what TVR had lying around in stores whistle

I thought they were M6 - there isn't that much room to get anything wider in there.

Thanks Ian...Just got to start stocking up on all the bits i need for the Alloy rad to go in..Got the rad and twin kenlowes and the bumper rubber...Just need all the other bits and bobs...Bolts...New front mesh...Pipe connectors..(Silicone) and temperature faucet and control knob...I found a proper supplier of any fixings and they are very affordable...In fact 10 bolts are equivalent to 4 from howlfrauds in price...

Could be, but M6 bolts usually have a 10mm hex. I'm pretty sure my front spoiler is only held on with a couple of M6's and a handful of self-tappers.

That's par for the course with fastener suppliers vs. Halfords.
Mind you when we're doing pipeline jobs we often order stuff like 1000 off M36 x 125 in A4 stainless with two washers and a stainless Nyloc each: that gets fff....airly expensive wherever you go yikes

Thats true mate...Mind you when i first went into this place i pointed at some rather large Nut & Bolts that looked like they were for a submarine panel and i said.."Right i need a 1000 of those"..His eyes lit up instantly...But he ignores me now....laugh
