Sorry for another RNR thread but hopefully warranted as I wanted to say a huge thanks to all who attended this year’s Rusty Nail Run, it is rewarding to have had such great support from many including the Pathfinders, Garry aka Shaw's mobile disco, Mike the new Navigator, Twin pipes Melville and PC McGilvary although nothing PC about the way he pulled out of Glenshee car park. I am sure I can say this on behalf of the Pathfinders but thank you to all the Nailers that came from near and far, with local participants and Nailers coming from Birmingham, London and Hull. There was great banter throughout the weekend, young and not so young sharing a few drinks and the bars and hotel aloud with laughter.
The runs were better than expected with minimal disruption, Saturday we headed up to the Cairngorms then onto an old military road across the moors to Forres for lunch then along the Moray coast onto Culloden. In the evening we held the RNR dinner with some dancing and the ceremonial handover of the baton. We also held a raffle where we raised over £355 for the Candlelighters Charity that were the recipients of the RNR5 2014 Calendar sales.
Sunday was over to and around the Black Isle, again with mainly clear roads and breath taking scenery and Monday a blast across two ski resorts before farewells at Blairgowrie.
It is actually quick hard to describe the atmosphere but I believe Garry summed it up at the end of the weekend, he said everyone was buzzing !!!
A link to a not so good video but hopefully it gives an impression of the RNR experience.

A huge thank you to everyone once again

Wish I had been there. I absolutely love that road up through Braemar to Tomintoul. Never had the Tasmin up there but been through it quite a few times on the bike and there’s never anybody there! Fab.

One day I'll get the old fella going....
