And the rear clusters, and the front driving lights... and the headlamps are Belgian. And I think - the propshaft is French too.

i think dare i say it "proper" classic cars will always increase in value, i mean ones that were desirable in the first place, so hearing aid beige Maestro's will never achieve masters painting levels for example, no matter what.
But cars that have history (Stirling Moss farted in it) will always gather value, I sell brake pads to some of the most historically important race cars around, and the values simply astound me, even if most of the original parts have faded into the mists of time (or armco)..
These cars are like houses, peaks and troughs but always upwards in the end, if you lusted after it as a "yoof" then its probably a safe bet, look at the working mans hero the Ford RS??

I fancy a late 50's/early 60's VW Beetle, prices seem to have calmed down after the Cal-Look craze of the 80's - my first car was a 1973 1303
