As a heads up can anyone coming bring as much corrugated cardboard (the type that is used in cardboard boxes) as possible, and a few reels of packing tape? (If you have room)

Hi Peeps...As its February already then i need to start planning the weekend of BBWF 2015...At the moment i have found a couple of interesting things for the runout but more about that later..I have spoken with the rolling road and they may be fully booked up so that might be a non-starter unless i can find someone else..This all depends on numbers..
I have been in contact with North London Dyno over the last day or so and they are now coming.
I'm extremely busy so will get some posts up over the next few days but I'm away again with work next week.

Assuming you have run this past Mark the organiser of the BBWF, then I look forward to running my car on the dyno!!

Thanks for the update Paul...I do appreciate that you are busy and believe it or not i do have a life outside of PH..Although you wouldn't think it with the amount of post's..smile

Anyway we are already halfway through Febuary and time is moving on..I was happy to plan for all but if two events are being combined, Which is not a bad thing then it would be nice to actually converse with the other side...

I now realised why North London Dyno are booked for that weekend..As it has transpired its not a bad thing but i never knew anything about it and could quite easily of booked another as I'm allocating the designated car parking areas to particular traders..Please refrain from booking any others until we have spoken at least..I have signed a contract for this weekend and my priority is Wedges so as I'm the current non-self appointed organiser..(Voted in) then its my responsibility to ensure the majority are happy and catered for accordingly.

As our guests we want you to feel part of the weekend and not alienated in any way...You are welcome to park with us...Eat..Drink and laugh with us but at this point in time it feels to me like there is still a massive dividing line...As professor Stephen Hawkins famously said.."We must keep talking" and how true this is.

If you have any ideas or plans/Agenda for the weekend then please can we discuss this together to ensure a good time is had by all...It would not be good reading in Sprint if the two events were on the same weekend with a rivalry line between us created by any hidden agendas or personal satisfactions which ends up ruining it for everyone..Charitable causes included!.

My reasons are clear for all to see as regards to organising a "Specialist event" and that is to create a harmonious environment where people feel comfortable and welcome in..Laughter is a wonderful feeling, There is too much aggression in the world and i have seen enough...My reasons for raising money for charity are from personal experiences so it comes from the heart...I don't know what your perception of me is but like most things in life anyone can be a judge but the jury are the deciding factor.

Hopefully we can sit round the table and chew the fat as it were....smile

Thanks...Ziga

Seems odd that when Mark checked, the RR was probably booked elsewhere on the date of the BBWF(and the RR presumably did not come back to say our date was now free for them) and yet magically, they are now available when someone else asks.

Something strange going on here, and we're not hearing all of the facts. It would be interesting to know exactly when the RR booking was actually made........
EDIT:
Beaten to it by Mark.

Sorry Mark

Once again you have taken the higher ground and tried to be open and above board about organising a joint event with the Griff boys.

However, if the supposed 'organiser' from the Griff boys hasnt even got the time or civility to pick up the phone and discuss helping you and by the sounds of it has circumvented you by booking the rolling road for himself, then I am shocked.

as far as Im concerned, FWIW, ts the BBWF until such times as certain people pull their heads from their non sunshine areas !!

Ive now re written this 4 times to remove the expletives (saving Big Al the trouble) and to probably stop myself from being banned!!

How childish can people be??

This would suggest that stepping back would be a sensible choice to avoid problems.

I have booked it for the weekend not for any Griff specific reason. You lot are very suspicious - just accept it. I've dealt with Gaz and Baz for 10 years as we were the first to use them and asked if they could re-arrange what they had booked which they have kindly done.
If you want me to cancel it just let me know.

Well the bottom line is there is a RR available on the day / weekend. I would suggest that Zig as the organiser, you now contact them and manage the booking / costs / slots etc. Same goes for the hotel bookings and dinner / entertainment etc. Communication is the key thing here, due to non interaction with the previous Growl organiser / organisers we are back as the WedgeFest with the Griff fraternity welcome to attend I guess. Zig I would advertise it as such with the TVRCC. Bottom line you are the one putting in the effort to organise it for others, so your function, your decisions. If people do not have the manners to interact then they will be embarrassed!

Let's be careful not to turn this into a war please..The reason people are "Suspicious" is because someone other than the Wedgefest organiser is organising stuff with out telling or conferring with anyone which WILL get peoples backs up, Yes Its good that we now have a rolling road but it would of been courteous of you to of discussed it with me first..Even my first thought was.."Somethings not right here" ..As said this could get embarrassing as certain things have come to light which i have chosen to ignore for the interest of everyone else...The event is NOT about any one person..Its about all of us...We ALL drive TVR's..Sharing and enjoying the time together is important as none of know how long any of us have left..Life is definitely too short for all this shyte.

All i have asked is if someone can work with me from the Griff camp..I have no qualms with whoever so can we please move forward and work together for the benefit of everyone concerned.

There are a lot of positive things that need sorting for the event..I have left room for our guests to be included in these so that they enjoy the weekend/Day that they attend.

Onwards and upwards...

Paul if you are too busy with work then maybe nominate someone else to cover for you as communication is key here...Onwards and upwards please...

Cheers...Ziga

Gents, looking forward to a catch up with all, whether Wedge or Griff. Confirmation that the rolling road is available is muchly appreciated. Must fit that fuel regulator - it's a personal challenge to beat the 185.5bhp from last year, even by 0.5 bhp!

We know that there's been a certain amount of concern regarding the joint event but let's not dwell on the past but look forward to the event and hopefully some warm sunny weather, some friendly rivalry, a decent meal, a few drinks, the phenomena that is Elvis Wedgely but most importantly raising some cash for a well deserved charity.

Mark you can't do it all on your own so shout when you are clear on what help you need.

I might have to try and get it over to you via courrier, maybe straight to the hotel? Last year I was up at 4.45 and drove over early. As the wife is intending to come then I doubt I'll be there until late morning.
