Any recommendations please ?

My wedge has quite a bit of negative camber at the rear, to the point where you can see the tyres are wearing more on the insides. Looking at this a few times, and it rides low, catches on speed bumps, and is lower than many photos here, I've decide the springs, particluarly rears, have sagged/settled, so time to get new ones.

Adjustable rear ride height would be good, so I can trim camber (as well as using shims), etc.

Have seen "ML performance" web site - GAZ ones.... but pricey.

any good or bad experiences ? (and bear in mind I'm having to get them shipped here to NZ)

Please share - thanks all.

Time for a contentious opinion! For normal road driving I don't think there's any advantage to be gained between new standard-type components (assuming they're a half decent brand) and the 'top-end' stuff. I had Gaz all round on mine (GHA I think?) and they were OK but no discernable difference to the ones I took off.

Discuss.

My Esprit had AVOs on it; according to the receipt they'd been fitted 18 months before and according to the tax and MOT it had been sat idle for a year. So why they were in such a cruddy state was a mystery to me; the corrosion was shocking (no pun intended).
Maybe things have improved, I don't know, but I stick with Koni on the TVR.

Thanks all for posts.....

I happen to have a pair of standard Armstrong Blue for the front, but I think that rear height adjustable would be great for the ability to trim the camber...(which is why I asked)

Can you get height adjustable Konis ??

I'm not hugely bothered for upgraded performance, the current ones are looking pretty cruddy, and I think are the originals...

Any suppliers to recommend ??

Alternatively - has anyone had their springs retempered - not sure if this is worth doing.

AB shocks are pretty familiar with TVRs and should be able to recommend
suitable spring rates etc.

Springs are not particularly expensive, doubt it would be cost effective?

Not familiar with the Wedge rear suspension but it would be a poor design that noticeable altered the camber with a small change in ride height wouldn't it?

Probably not, I agree - just asking....

Hmmm. OK, I agree it's not a 'swing axle' like, say, Triumph Spitfire, but I'm reasonably sure that the early trailing arm setup DOES alter its camber as spring is compressed - good point though, I'll have to double check this.

As far as I can remember my wedge has no camber shims at all - perhaps someone before me forgot to put them back in ?

I think you've git the same symptoms as mine. The old AVO's were fitted 15 ago and I have the original springs on the old girl. As you say the car sits so low there is a little negative camber and the tyres are wearing on the inside but only fractionally more. My mechanic and I agree a new set of shocks and springs will sort it. When I did the rear brake discs I seem to recall there being a few shims on each side, but they were so thin, not sure how much they would effect camber.
Cheers
