Hi All,

I'm on the look out for the following for my 87 350i winter project, no desperate rush but a heads up if anyone can assist would be welcome.

Main dash surround (full width of car padded piece which incorporates the glove box)don't mind colour as I can dye it.

Good pair of seats (will consider all other makes i.e. mx5)black or grey preffered.

Centre caps for 15inch TVR lattice (rocking horse sh*t) I know!

Gear stick & handbrake gaitors.

Front bumper gasket? (rubber surround thingy).

Good rear hood (thought mine was good but the inside is shot)may get a recovering job done here though.

N/S Sill & N/S door mirror pod (I know I can get new from TET but just wondering if there may be any spares about).

I'll probably add to the list as things progress but in the interim if anyone has any of the above I'd be keen to hear from you.

Thanks,Rob.

Hi mate..Engineer1949..(John) was making some of the wheel centre caps although i haven't heard much since?..They look spot on and only need a centre badge.

As part of my auto-trimming learning curve i was intending on making gaiters as well as re-trimming seats...Dash..Consoles...etc...Just got to work out how to stitch the last section together and still have the french stitched sides??...What colour was you thinking and would they be leather or vinyl?...They are available on flea but i was intending on making them as is fitted to the Wedge.

Rubber bumper trim...I may have a piece that will be long enough for the front bumper..Initially it was for someones rear bumper..I will go and measure it shortly and let you know....Cheers...Ziga

Ziga,
Thanks for that, reading a previous thread I messaged Engineer John and he is coming back to me sometime soon..Seems he was unable to get the fixing correct (click in) but I suggested a thicker section and a grub screw type fix from the inside, hence he's looking into it.
Ref interior, a fellow wedger has contacted me and will speak to him tonight to see what's on offer, I'll get back to you if what he has is not suitable.
Re...rubber strip I'd appreciate you looking.
Thanks,
Rob.

Hi Rob

John's a clever man...I actually have just thought of a possible solution as well...I might just email him.

Right the bumper trim seems more than long enough..You might want to use some weather resistant contact adhesive..It was recommended to me by the company who i got the seal from..As below.

Seals direct:
They do most of the rubber..Boot..Door..Bumper and the glue.

http://www.google.co.uk/url?sa=t&rct=j&q=&...

You can have the bumper seal for 10 beer tokens inc postage..If you want it then please email me your address.

Cheers...Ziga

The early Telcast wheel centres were held in by an O-ring, I'm sure the idea could be adapated...

I am in need of a front air dam for a 85 DHC ( late 84, series one?). Needs to be in the USA for reasonable shipping cost. Any help?
