Haves and Needs
Discussion
I know there is a wedge parts hoards sticky relating to the horded parts wedgers have. Could be way off with this idea I have mentioned something similar before. But how about a kind of "I have this and I need this" sticky,

HAVE --------- NEED ----------- NAME --------- DATE
Indicator > Fog Light > carob > 30/10/14
No sales just swaps within reason, none of this have wheel nut, Need SEAC.
Might be a way of enlightening people to others needs, that may be gathering dust in the garage whilst hopefully sorting the other parties needs out too.
Just an idea.

I HAVE a 350i FHC in a billion shiny pieces.
I NEED more time and space to put it all back together.
I also HAVE DHC doors, cill covers, bootlid, power steering rack and pump, black powdercoated front upper and lower suspension arms,
I also NEED suspension bushes all round for a trailing arm car, FHC glass, more fishing equipment, and more time (I tried to keep it sensible, but I slipped (cue Gav))

Pretty sure the seats are Montego so maybe worth a try on the tinternet breaker sites.
Rob
I've searched high and low for the seat mech and I think I eventually found a matching oneRob
Fiat X19 = http://www.midwest-bayless.com/storefrontprofiles/...
not too many about or parts specialists but its almost identical (to me the vertical arm is bent vs flat on the wedge / M / Chim etc
If you're talking about the original seats they were made by Cambro who made most of the seats for the British car industry for decades, Ford excluded... they're not exactly the same as on any other car but they are built from the same components which is why so many people think they recognise them.
Rob isn't far off, the mechs probably were used on the Montego etc. but I doubt anything from a FIAT would be the same.

Also PH moderators don't like too many stickies which is why there are only a couple (when BBWF goes up that gets stickied but only one article). This keeps the front page uncluttered.
We can have it as a Wiki though, and a line to/from parts hoard and the "Welcome to the Wedge Forum" post.

Montego / Austin have a knob to adjust. Our TVRs have the leverRob isn't far off, the mechs probably were used on the Montego etc. but I doubt anything from a FIAT would be the same.
TVR as used on the wedge, griff, chim. M's are slightly different
Fiat X19 - closest I've found

Wow; I have two x1/9s and two TVR wedges and I never spotted this!! I have to point out that the plastic trim over the x1/9 mechanisms is always broken so that's another thing in common with TVRs...
Then you need to buy some of these then ;-) http://shop.x19spares.co.uk/fiat-x19-plastic-seat-...gmw9666 said:

Bloody hell, well spotted... that's rather too similar for it to be a coincidence. I reckon with that crease knocked flat on the upright it wouldn't be a mile off. Whether you could do that without causing stress cracks would be another matter.10 out of 10 for perseverance though
So now I'm wondering whether Cambro bought in the recline mechs rather than made them in-house...

was thinking of leaving the kink but adding a metal packer, it will be covered anyhow and saves messing with re bending it
just got to fine one now........most of the Fiat breakers will only sell me a whole seat grrrr
