I only thought that as the Cerbera i mentioned was running rich and the pops and bangs were VERY loud with flames at each bang!...And i have seen an 400SX do the same thing on over fuelling....I think the differences are when its as you say the pops and bangs are more like every couple of seconds on de-acceleration and over fuelling is every 3-4 seconds but with an optional BBQ......

Thank you Mrzigzaga..I have been on a few runs with Wedge owner Thebeaverking (ade) with him behind and has also given me the thumbs up.
It's a nice set up that is not popping and banging constantly and 90% of the time you have to give a light feather of the throttle to engage the bangs.
So you can engage them at will,unlike many Cerbera's I have followed that just can't stop banging. Think of it as being a bit civilized when you want to be. Mine to some maybe a bit raw and not to everyone's liking but with all the Cats still in place many who have heard it in the flesh don't think it's to offensive...
