Yet another busy day...
Discussion
Well as I'm off for a few day I thought a bit of man cave time was the order of the day
Many of you have seen me with just 1 seat lol as my originals were knackered and was keeping my eyes open for a grey chim or griff pair
Well I found a cracking pair ooo errrr
The drivers bolster may need re colouring but will see how I get on
First up needed to give the carpets a damn good clean
And dropped the chim seats in
Minimal faffing, just needed to remove the extra height spacer things which come on chim seats
So job done
Well errr no
My expansion tank cap was looking very sorry for itself
And 10 minutes with my dremel turned it into this..... Cool huh
Time for a beer me thinks :-)

Looking nice mate...Those seats do fit well but i find them a tad uncomfortable..Do yours go all the way back, Especially the drivers..Mine seems to stop 2" shy...I still think the Wedge seats in good fettle are much more comfortable..The SEAC is the most comfortable Wedge of all..They were Montego seats i believe but would never go in a 280i..350i..400SE..420SE..450SE..Due to the larger transmission tunnel and lack of door cut out...Ziga

They do go all the way back.....now lolAt the front off the runner (the non lever one) there is a horizontal bolt....remove it and job done, slide all the way back :-)
I do like them as the seat base frame is a slightly different design meaning they sit a tad lower, perfect for me being lanky lol

You can modify Maestro seat runners to fit the Wedge seats, so they latch both sides with a rail across the front to lift and slide; it might be feasible to do the same to the Chimaera seats. At the front off the runner (the non lever one) there is a horizontal bolt....remove it and job done, slide all the way back :-)

Same mod. done by me to the Esprit seats:

Is it just me? or is there something that feels very satisfactory about removing the seats from a car you have bought and thoroughly cleaning the carpets, before putting the seats back knowing you have got rid of somebody else's crap!
Or have I got OCD
Seats looks good by the way.
No it's not just you and of course you never know what you may find under them. Among the things I have found are 2 keys and 12 pence from under my wedge seats and even a sat nav (which unfortunately didn't work) under another one of my cars seats.Or have I got OCD

Probably been posted up loads of times previously.
Any chance of a pic of the Esprit seats in your Wedge? They must suit the Wedge really well - in my mind.
They probably would, mine were in my Esprit The previous owner had taken the slides off the driver's seat (for more headroom, presumably) and it was just loose in the car . The slides on the passenger seat had all but seized from corrosion and lack of use.Any chance of a pic of the Esprit seats in your Wedge? They must suit the Wedge really well - in my mind.
I'd also used the Maestro slides on my Tasmin with its brown Dralon paper-thin carpet; now that I've fitted a set to the 390 I've found the grab handle fouls on the extra luxury of the later car's carpet so it'll need modifying again.
