Dealer swap - a - ro = Blue S1 FHC

Do dealers actual make any money????........dealer tries to sell the 1 owner blue 280i fixed head for a reasonable £5k on Autotrader......doesn't sell and price dropped to £4500 and still doesn't sell
Then spotted that they put it through Baron's classic car auctions yesterday (sold for £2800 + premium) http://www.barons-auctions.com/details.php?ID=6843
Now back up at more than the original @ £5750 with a new / different dealer http://www.gumtree.com/p/other-cars/tvr-tasmin-280...

Depends how much they pay for something in the beginning..Normally if you are selling they turn you round whip your trousers off and ...Crikey......Well and truly shafted!...Then when you are buying they turn you round whip your trousers off and ...Crikey......Well and truly shafted!...But if THEY get their money back then its a no brainer...
I would have bought this, if I had seen it at the right time. I think that you are right, not a lot of people would go
for this as the look truly is that of the time. More than part of the appeal, in my eyes. The only thing I don't like about it is the sunroof.
This car had been up for sale for quite some time, it appears that buying and selling through another dealer, either in the UK or abroad, seems to raise the price.

Looks OK to me although I'm not keen on the colour or condition of the seats and hesitate about the bright orange carpets.beacon said:
I always think, these tin-tops are so rare, seems a shame to take a tin opener to it
I think a lot of the FHC's either came with sunroofs or got fitted within a year or two. Aftermarket sunroofs were all the rage in the 80's. It's also blimin' hot in there on a warm day, especially an early one with the exhausts running along the top of the gearbox tunnel just under your elbow!Gassing Station | Wedges | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
