29mm fits nicely, 28mm is too small.

I noted that you have a copper seal on the plug. I don't, but my plug (and the sump, I hope) is coned so it keeps the oil in without any problems. I guess there is some variation.
Do you mean a taper fit? That would be unusual on the sump - IIRC the gearbox and diff have tapered fillers though.

Considering what Google image search brings out, yes - there's a cone between the hex and the thread, like usually in wheel bolts, ie. like this: http://www.rimmerbros.co.uk/Item--i-RRH100140

I have no idea if it's original or not (considering this thread, probably not), but it works (ie. it doesn't leak and the sump isn't splitted) and when opened, it lets the engine oil get out. The cone isn't big, but I've figured out it's the one sealing the plug since there isn't an extra seal.

Hi Peeps...Just to let you know that the magnetic sump plug that i bought was the wrong thread..Its more like Adams or the one from Grimmers...Luckily mine is a magnetic type already and there wasn't too much "Swarf" on it...Cheers...Ziga
