Jaguar 4hu power lock diffs in Wedges
Discussion
Were the Jag power lock diffs fitted to Wedges as standard altered in relation to ramp angles etc? Or were they stock Jag items? I'm looking into changing my Vixen s1/Tuscan v6 diff for a taller ratio than the current 3.31. My current diff must have a jag spec power lock as it is too strong and puhes the car wide in corners where front end grip is not 100%.
standard jag spec diff certainly didnt work well in my race tasmin, was great off the line, but would lock and unlock round corners as not enough power out of the v6 or weight to make it work properly.. you need to get the modified to work.. might not be so bad with the extra torque from a v8
With the cost of another diff or gear set plus the reconditioning of the lsd surely you won't be far off the cost of something purportedly better:
